One of America’s most beloved and prolific artists, the late Albert Edward Brumley, wrote over 600 gospel songs and hymns, including such favorites as “I’ll Fly Away”, “Jesus, Hold My Hand”, “He Set Me Free”, “I’d Rather Be An Old-Time Christian”, and “Turn Your Radio On”.

Brumley’s songs have been recorded and performed by many well-known country and gospel artists, including Elvis Presley, Ray Charles, Chet Atkins, the Blackwood Brothers, the Florida Boys, and Larry Gatlin.
