Volunteer Information

The Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame and Museum offers numerous opportunities for "Friends of Oklahoma Music" volunteers to help throughout the year.   Areas of need include:

  • Visitor Services - assisting visitors throughout the Museum and answering questions.

  • Special Events - occasionally assist with special events by staffing ticket counter, merchandise booth, concessions, seating, coat check, etc.  

  • Museum Tour Guide - to assist during busy seasons and tour group visits, trained volunteers are needed to conduct interpretive tours.

  • Clerical - volunteers with skills in this area are needed from time to time to assist answering phones, filing, bulk or direct mailings, data entry, assembling educational packets, etc. 

  • Grounds - periodically the grounds require additional assistance in preparation for special events.  

  • Volunteer Hours - while the Museum in open Tuesday - Saturday, 10am-5pm, periodially volunteer assistance is necessary on other days and hours in preparation for the annual induction or other special events. 

  • Requirements - to be considered an active member of Friends of Oklahoma Music, you must be available to volunteer a minimum of eight (8) hours per month.

  • Duties - duties are assigned according to individual qualifications and training.
