Future Development

It is the dream of the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame & Museum, Inc. with the City of Muskogee, the State of Oklahoma, and Muskogee Chamber of Commerce & Tourism, to develop, fund, and construct a facility known as the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame  and Museum.

In 2002, Muskogee City Council voted unanimously to designate the historic Frisco Depot, 401 South 3rd Street, as the permanent location for the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame and Museum.

The City of Muskogee owns the Frisco Depot building and invested city monies and federal Transportation Department grant dollars to improve the exterior of the building.

Future Development "Oklahoma's culture is deeply rooted in music and, in many instances, early Oklahoma musicians and performers no doubt left home to seek fame or returned home on the railroad," said Andrea Chancellor, 2002 Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame Board Chair.
